A grandmother who spent a year sailing around the world is raising money for charity through selling an e-book about her adventures.
Catherine Draper, 61 of Hamilton Avenue, Barkingside wants to raise money for the Christian charity Kids Alive, for children at risk, and School Home Support.
Mrs Draper finished her epic adventure, which is so tough that more people have made it to the top of Mount Everest, in July last year.
She said: “I didn’t even know there were races like this going on, it never occurred to me that ordinary folk could have such an amazing adventure.”
