A Barkingside church has announced its new Priest-in-Charge following a series of interviews.
Holy Trinity Parish Church, in Mossford Green, will welcome Rev Stuart Batten this summer once he leaves his posts as Priest-in-Charge of Wickham Bishops and Little Braxstead, Essex, and Assistant Director of Ordinands for the Diocese of Chelmsford.
In the church newsletter, Stephen Gilson, the church warden, wrote: “We now have a time of anticipation as we wait for the Batten’s arrival.
“There is much to be done, with work at the Vicarage as well as planning for the welcome and Stuart’s ministry.
“Those who experienced move will know how unsettling this is for the whole family.”
