A Barkingside building society joined forces with sister sites from across the country to raise £1,630 for charity.
The Leeds Building Society branch, in High Street, raised the sum for the National Autistic Society by selling four Thomas and Friends zip pulls.
The accessories were available through a suggested donation of £1 for Thomas, Percy, James and Rosie.
Amanjit Kaur, manager at the Barkingside branch, said: “We are delighted that we have been able to contribute to the overall fundraising effort from the society by accepting donations from members of the public for the Thomas and Friends zip pulls. I’d like to thank our staff and customers for their enthusiastic and generous support throughout the campaign.”
David Boorman, head of supporter fundraising at the National Autistic Society, said: “The Leeds Building Society Barkingside branch raised essential funds for our services.”
