Arrests made in Chadwell Heath after helicopter used to find burglary suspects

Arrests have been made after a police helicopter was scrambled to help track down people who allegedly robbed a property in Chadwell Heath yesterday.

Officers were called to reports of a burglary in progress at 12.25pm.

The Metropolitan Police Service said its helicopter carried out “area searches” for the burglary suspects, before a number of people were detained and later questioned.

Police would this afternoon not say where the alleged robbery took place, nor exactly how many people have been arrested.
