A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Goodmayes.

Trident officers arrested the 40-year-old in Chatham on Monday, July 13, and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police were called to reports of a shooting in Green Lane at 5.49am on Wednesday, July 1.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was taken by London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital where he was treated for gunshot injuries.

He has since been discharged from hospital.

Detectives believe that a number of shots were fired from a vehicle.

Trident officers are continuing to investigate.
