The men and women who make up the Armed Forces will be paid tribute to this morning.

There will be a parade in Ilford Town Centre from 10.30am to mark Armed Forces Day.

Cadets, soldiers and veterans will take part in the parade and will gather outside Redbridge Town Hall, High Road, Ilford, to raise the Armed Forces Day flag.

The national Armed Forces Day – which actually fell yesterday – is a chance to raise public awareness of the contributions made by those who serve and have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.
