Another shisha bar could open in Goodmayes if the council grants a planning application.
Redbridge Council is considering an application to convert the basement beneath Mirch Masala, in Goodmayes Road, into a cafe and shisha lounge with a marquee in an outside courtyard.
Popular in the Middle East and South Asia, shisha is flavoured tobacco usually smoked with a hookah pipe.
The tobacco is vapourised rather than burnt and passes through water before being inhaled.
There are already shisha bars in Gants Hill, Ilford town centre and Goodmayes.
