The London Air Ambulance landed on the A406 on Saturday after reports a person had fallen from a South Woodford bridge.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.40am to reports that a person had fallen from height on the A406.
“We sent an ambulance crew and staff treated on patient believed to be a man.”
He was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
