Man airlifted to hospital with severe burns after Seven Kings house fire

A 67-year-old man has been taken to hospital with severe burns after a house fire in Seven Kings.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) were called at 4.48 this afternoon (Thursday, November 1) to the fire at a two-storey house in Herbert Road.

Four fire engines went to tackle the blaze that was put out just before 6.20 - 20 per cent of the ground floor of the house was damaged by fire.

A 67-year-old man was in the property and was rescued by neighbours according to an eyewitness.

According to the LFB 70 pc of his body was burnt by the fire and he was taken to hospital via an air ambulance.

Police were also called to the scene at around 5pm, and Herbert Road was closed whilst LFB dealt with the incident.
