‘67 million-to-one’ - amateur golfer lands two holes-in-one on the same round

A hole-in-one is a very rare feat but to hit two in one round is almost unheard of.
But for one amateur golfer, the dream has come true after waiting more than 30 years to achieve the first.
Dermot Traynor, 68, was playing a round of golf with four friends at Hainault Forest Golf Club last week when he nailed the two master strokes.
Dermot hit the first on the second and knew he found the hole after seeing fellow golfers jumping up and down at the tee nearby.
The second came at the 15th hole which left him in a “state of shock” as his ball trundled down the green.
Dermot said: “I still can’t believe it now, I’ve been playing golf for over 30 years and I’ve never managed one hole-in-one so to hit two in one round is a dream come true.
“Me and my friends have never seen anyone hit one in all our time playing, it’s an incredible feeling.”
The golf course’s manager Andy Greenslade has been left amazed by the golfer’s accomplishment too.
He said: “We are currently undergoing some renovation work on the course but we might have to build Dermot his own tiger tees which are the furthest set back you can get.
“The odds of anyone pulling off two holes-in-one on one round are about 67 million-to-one!”
