Man arrested after suspected burglary at Clayhall Ladbrokes

Police were called in the early hours of yesterday morning to reports of a break-in at the betting shop in Clayhall.

A man was arrested after a suspected burglary at Ladbrokes in Clayhall.

Police were called at 4.35am yesterday (Sunday, August 12) to reports of a burglary at the Ladbrokes in Claybury Broadway, Ilford.

Officers, including the Met’s Dog Unit, attended and arrested a 29-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of burglary.

He was then taken to an east London police station where he remains in custody.

Enquiries continue.
