A cardboard box left on a public road has landed a man with a court fine.
Chadwell Heath resident Ramavath Saikiran, 28, was ordered to pay a total of £630 after he dumped waste in St Chads Road in September 2025.
The waste was traced back to his address in Arandora Crescent, Barking and Dagenham Council said, and he admitted the offence under caution.

Cllr Syed Ghani, cabinet member for enforcement and community safety, said: "Leaving rubbish next to a bin is still fly-tipping, no matter how big or small the item.
"This kind of behaviour can quickly attract more waste and turn an area into a dumping ground. We will not tolerate it and will take action against those who blight our communities."
Saikiran was issued a £200 fixed penalty notice but failed to pay, leading to a court appearance at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on 23 June 2026, where the offence was found proved in his absence.
The court ordered him to pay a £200 fine, £350 in costs, and an £80 victim surcharge.
