An Essex church is inviting people to a concert raising money for people in Africa living on less than a dollar a day.
Holy Trinity Church in Barkingside will hold its annual fundraising concert on May 16, in support of Christian Aid Week 2026.
The event, which has run since around 2009, has raised an estimated £7,000 for Christian Aid and its global partners.
The concert, held in the church hall on Mossford Green, begins at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 on the door and include cakes and refreshments.

Kaye Larbi, Christian Aid group organiser, said: "Every year, during this appeal, people across Britain and Ireland have seven days to make a difference and raise funds for Christian Aid Week.
"Our concerts with the New Redbridge Wind Orchestra are a great way of people coming together to support the appeal."
Funds raised will help Christian Aid and its partners provide long-term solutions to poverty.
The 2026 appeal, running from May 10 to 16, focuses on Nairobi, Kenya, where many families struggle to afford basic food, rent, and education.
Christian Aid’s partner, Beacon of Hope, supports families by providing tools, seeds, and training to grow vegetables in limited urban space.
