Get ready for upcoming renovations and improvements at Exchange Ilford.

The centre is set for a brand-new makeover to transform your shopping experience, and here’s how you can have your say on what the centre will be doing with their new space.

We chat to Joe Ridley, marketing manager for Exchange Ilford, who talks us through the exciting things to look forward to as we move into the new year.

1. A new TK Maxx store has opened

On 9th November, TK Maxx has now become an anchor store in the atrium, relocating from their previous location in the centre to a new and bigger space, whilst keeping the store as an integral part of our community. They’re thrilled to have made the move and I’m excited to see the feedback from our customers on their new state-of-the-art store, featuring a bigger range of jewellery, a shoe department and a new home range.

2. A social hub for the community

With the move of the TK Maxx store, this has now freed up a large amount of space right next to the new Elizabeth line, which has provided plenty of great community and retail opportunities.

We are still yet to finalise a decision on how to renovate the space, however we do know that we want to create a social hub in the centre, where people can congregate to eat, shop, relax and enjoy everything that Exchange Ilford has to offer.

We are aiming to open the space in spring 2024 and are asking our customers and the local community to offer their feedback on what to do with the space, which you can do by using the QR code to fill out the feedback survey, located in the future hub on level 1.

3. A new medical centre

This is a massively exciting new project we are endeavouring towards here at Exchange Ilford. Spring 2024 will see the new health and medical centre offering a range of new services in one single location for our local area.

The services will include a fully-fledged GP service, community blood testing community podiatry, mental health support as well as an experienced nursing team who will provide support and care for diabetes, respiratory conditions and adult care services to name but a few.

We have a 24-hour car park available alongside the new Elizabeth line and local bus services which stop just outside, making the shopping centre completely accessible for anyone throughout the community.
