Ten people including children fled a a block of flats which was alight in the early morning.
A four-bedroom flat on the eight floor of block of 18 floors on Ilford Hill was alight today (October 17).
Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters were called to the scene at 1.50am.
According to the brigade, six adult and four children left the building before firefighters arrived and they were assessed by paramedics.
The flat was reportedly “partly alight”, and the incident was under control by 3am.
The cause of fire is under investigation.
