A 21-year-old man is fighting for his life after being thrown “30ft” through a car window after an early morning car accident.
Another man has been arrested for drink driving following the incident involving a red Ford Mondeo at about 3.50am today at High Road, Goodmayes, near the junction with Goodmayes Lane.
A police spokesman said: “A male was thrown 30ft through a car window. The gentleman was taken to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, in a potentially life threatening condition.”
The London Ambulance Service confirmed that the man was treated for leg and back injuries. Two other patients were taken to Queens Hospital, Romford.
The road was closed by police after the incident and re-opened by 8.50am.
