A dedicated volunteer, who has helped out in the community for more than 50 years, has been rewarded for her hard work.
Patricia Rackind, from the Chigwell and Hainault League of Jewish Women, received a Diamond Champion Award, along with three others this week, for her outstanding work in the borough.
She was invited to a ceremony where she was presented with a Diamond Champion Pin, specially commissioned by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, who are patrons of the campaign.
Ms Rackind has recently taken on the role of area leader for The Way Ahead project, which supervises a headwear service for people who have lost their hair following chemotherapy or illness.
