Sports promoter Barry Hearn dropped in to a school in Chadwell Heath to give business advice to a team as part of a competition.
The team from Chadwell Heath Academy, Christie Gardens are competing in the MATCH business challenge launched last month in aid of Saint Francis Hospice.
They are up against six other teams including King Solomon High School, Forest Road, Barkingside.
So far, the team of four from Chadwell Heath Academy have raised the most money since the challenged was stared.
Barry Hearn said: “The team is off to an excellent start and seem to have clear business plan. I look forward to seeing how they progress in the upcoming months.”
They have organised a football tournament for Year 11 students which made �80 profit.
Team member Rohit Dey said: “We are proud to be taking part in the MATCH challenge. It has provided us all with a good opportunity to show-off our business skills and we look forward to seeing what comes next.”
The team which wins will each receive an iPad3 and the opportunity to do work experience at Matchroom Sport and the hospice in Havering-atte-Bower.
