A football player said he felt “blessed” after meeting the residents of a Jewish care home in Gants Hill.
Leyton Orient player Ben Chorley and his team mate Michael Symes visited the Vi & John Rubens House in Clarence Avenue to meet residents on Thursday.
Ben said: “I feel blessed. It’s a pleasure to come back here and see the same people that you’ve seen every year and I look forward to my visits. At the start of every season when I come back into training I make sure that I’m booked in to come here.”
The pair even joined in a sing-song and a chat with residents.
