Creepy crawlies were the theme of the day for children in Goodmayes, as they got the chance to have their faces painted to depict their favourite insect or animal.
Youngsters aged between five and 12 were invited to Goodmayes Library, Goodmayes Lane, last week for a special creepy face painting session.
Staff were on hand to create all manner of creations in a variety of colours for visitors.
Ruth Burr chose a spider design while Sami Christy-Miah went for his number one comic book character, Batman.
The library regularly holds activities for children during the school holidays. For more information visit www.redbridge.gov.uk.
