A man has been given a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to burglary.
Nathan Esty, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison, suspended for two years, after targeting a retailer in Goodmayes in April.
Redbridge police were called to Goodmayes Road after a resident saw Esty climbing out of a window holding carrier bags.
He was charged with non-residential burglary on April 15, before appearing at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on April 16, when he pleaded guilty.
Esty was also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.
