Nearly three in four pupils at Loxford School of Science and Technology achieved five A*-Cs, including English and maths, in their GCSEs this year.
Trust boss Anita Johnson said they had “smashed it”, with the school’s “best ever GCSE results” building on last week’s “best ever A-level results”.
Around 95 per cent of pupils got five A*-Cs, and 72pc hit the national benchmark of five A*-Cs including English and Maths.
“We’ve done extremely well,” said Mrs Johnson, the chief executive officer of Loxford Schools Trust.
“Maths, English and science – our core subjects – have done well so we’re pleased about that.”
More than 50pc of the school’s 3,000 pupils, between the ages of three and 19, are eligible for free school meals (FSM).
