Housing, car theft, drug dealing and swimming pools were just some of the topics which Redbridge councillors faced a grilling over last night (Wednesday).
Cllr Jas Athwal, council leader, Cllr Kam Rai, cabinet member for finance and Cllr Paul Canal, leader of the opposition, were joined by the authority’s director of adult social services John Powell at the local forum in Parkside Community Centre in Goodmayes Lane.
The most heated subject was parking, with residents calling for action over problems around schools in the area.
Cllr Athwal told around 50 audience members the authority was trialling a driveway scheme where residents would be able to register to allow people parking on their own property to be given tickets.
