Young virtuosos took to a stage to put on “brilliant” performances yesterday afternoon.
Pupils at Eastcourt Independent School, Eastwood Road, Goodmayes, blew audiences away after getting through auditions for the school’s annual music recital.
The afternoon of music featured the school’s most talented pianists, violinists, guitarists and recorder groups.
Eastcourt’s choir kicked off the event with I Have a Dream, Over the Rainbow, and The Skye Boat Song.
“It was really good, it was brilliant,” said teacher Mike Bell.
“We had a packed hall of parents, families and friends and we enjoyed a musical feast of the finest quality.”
The school’s past pupils also returned to close the show with their own performances.
“All the children were very excited and the parents were too,” added Mr Bell.
“It [the recital] has got bigger and bigger – the numbers in the crowd seem to go up every year.”
