Runners from Ilford faced a marathon challenge in Luxembourg last weekend, and took along 102-year-old Fauja Singh for good luck.
Ten members of the Sikhs in the City running group completed the 26-mile race, part of the Inter Faith Marathon for a United World.
They were accompanied by Fauja, of Goodmayes, known around the world for his running exploits which lasted beyond his 100th birthday.
He called time on his competitive career in February.
Club secretary Harmander Singh completed his 75th marathon in a time of five hours, 13 minutes.
