Mary Evelyn Piotrowski died on the 11th August 2020 aged 90. The funeral to take place on Thursday 3rd September 2020 at Our Lady of the Assumption Hainault at 12 pm. We are devastated as a family at her loss and miss her very much. She wrote such beautiful poetry which sadly was never published. From Her heartbroken son, Chris Piotrowski. The white rose grows neath the apple tree Where my love used to come and comfort me But never dreamed Id see the day that he could not come back to stay The grass grows round the apple tree where my children sat upon my knee But they have all grown up and they long to be free Now Im all by myself beneath the apple tree And a Blackbird builds her nest near the apple tree She hatched her chicks one-two maybe three Now she sings on a branch in the apple tree I wonder if she too is lonely like me And now that they have all flown away I wish they could come back someday And remember the happy times that have been When we used to sit in the garden green.
