Vandals have poured orange and pink paint over Winston Churchill’s statue in Woodford Green.
A large amount of paint has been spilled over the statue of the UK’s former Prime Minister overnight.
Council workers started to clean the paint this morning at about 11am.
Glenn Bluck said on Twitter: “Can’t believe someone has thrown paint over the Winston Churchill statue. Scumbags.”
The statue of the renowned wartime prime minister stands at the centre of the constituency Churchill represented from 1924 to 1964.
