Cinema-enthusiasts can watch blockbusters on the beach in Ilford town centre this month.

Ilford Business Improvement District (Bid) is showing a number of different films during a Summer Beach Cinema, taking place in High Road, on August 11 and 18.

Among the flims to be shown are Paddington 2, The Greatest Showman, Peter Rabbit with the final film chosen by public social media poll.

Alongside the film screenings will be games of limbo, quoits, a giant versions of Jenga and Connect4.

Guests can also practise hanging ten on a surfboard simulator, take photos of themselves in a photobooth or eat candyfloss and popcorn at a beach hut.

The event is free to attend and films will be screen at 11am and 2pm.

The Ilford BID is not-for-profit which is privately funded and represents 396 businesses and delivers project and services that businesses say will make the greatest difference to them.
