BUNKERS! Romford review: It's a 'hole' lot of fun!

BUNKERS!, located in the Brewery shopping centre, immediately grabs your attention with its neon-lit entrance and energetic music.

It has some very creatively designed set-ups, with a retro and other-worldly vibe. Disco, playing cards, space, traffic lights and the Nevada desert were some of the themes that added to the lively ambience.

There is a good mix of difficulty levels for every kind of player - from a total novice to a crazy golf aficionado, and the games are best enjoyed with a group of friends.

We went through a roller coaster of emotions while trying to hit the ball into the right spots - frustration, anger, wild enthusiasm and loads of laughter.

One of our party even managed a hole in one!

The venue offers a range of gaming options over two levels (Image: Adventure Leisure Ltd.)Spanning over 20,000 square feet, the sprawling site has a host of other fun games on the lower level - pool, shuffleboard, ping pong, virtual reality games and electro-darts.

There is a photobooth and several spots perfect for a good selfie for Insta-obsessed visitors.

There are many picture-perfect spots at the venue (Image: Olivia Carter)The food menu has a mix of pizzas, hot dogs, nachos, fries and other munchies. While our margherita pizza was well-sized and delicious, the vegan hot dogs left much to be desired for the price.

The staff seemed knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic about ensuring guests have a wonderful time.

London is home to several gaming and crazy golf spaces, with plenty of options for fans of this type of activity.

The loud music could however be a bit overwhelming for young children or those wishing for a quieter time.

The venue is open between 4pm and 12am from Monday to Thursday, from 12pm to 12.30am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12pm to 10pm on Sundays.
