Whether Victoria Beckham will ever see a movie biopic made about her life is unknown, but prospective film-makers certainly will know not to cast Angelina Jolie in the lead role.

The opinion of David Beckham’s wife on Mrs Brad Pitt credentials to play for emerged today, via Spice Girls’ band-mates Mel B and Geri Halliwell.

They mooted the possibility of Oscar-winning Hollywood star Jolie playing Beckham, to which the fashion designer winced and responded: “Oh, God.”

Nineties pop phenomenon the Spice Girls reunited in central London today to launch stage musical Viva Forever – featuring the hits and written by Jennifer Saunders.

Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel C and Mel B gathered at the central London hotel where the video for debut single Wannabe.

Of course, when the time comes perhaps Mrs Beckham will step into the silver-screen spotlight and steal the show playing the star of her own life.

But then again, after the acting skills on display in Spice World, perhaps not.
