The Guy Ritchie-directed 2009 movie Sherlock Holmes tops the list of London-based films ranked by worldwide takings.

In the first of a new series of London Top 10s, we reveal the most popular movies of all time to have had their stories set in the capital.

It features Battersea Power Station, the Criterion Theatre and University College London.

Of course it does not make this list as it is actually set in the fictional Gotham City!
