Standon Calling has firmly established itself as a don’t miss festival, bursting at the seams with things to do and see but this year’s line-up is its biggest to date.

Just a hop, skip and a jump away from London in Hertfordshire (you can get there easily on public transport), headline acts include Death in Vegas, Fat Freddy’s Drop and dance-punk’s finest, California’s !!! (Chk Chk Chk) playing their only UK festival show. Beatbox, MC, musician and all-round vocal genius, Beardyman is also a major scoop for the intimate festival, set on a country estate with a swimming pool- the perfect antidote to all-night partying.

Willy Mason’s headline performance on The Lordship stage promises to be special while the hotly tipped lo-fi duo BIGkids will bring samples, saxophones and sunshine singalongs.

The theme for this year’s Standon is Journey to the Ends of the Earth. Fields will be transformed into every unexplored corner of the world where you can watch acrobats swing from the Amazonian branches of the tree bar, discover creatures of the deep in the pool and dance late into the night with fantastical creatures in the Cowshed Club.

The next morning take to the skies in a hot air balloon for an 80-second ride before crash landing at the feet of the giants of Gulliver’s Travels.

There will be DJ outposts across the site to encourage late-night shenanigans, with help from Dig It Soundsystem - a big, bad portable bike-pulled boombox that has become a favourite at Standon.

The Groove Garden disco and chillout space centred around a customised garden shed will have games and face painting and the ever-popular Rockaoke returns once again.

The festival takes place 11-14 August in Standon, Hertfordshire.

Adult weekend: £99 / adult two-day: £78 / adult Friday: £25 / adult Saturday: £39 / adult Sunday: £39

Fancy camping in style? This year Standon has three boutique camping different options – bell tents, tipis and yurts – which all come in varying sizes.
