The four-part series, called Run, also features Lennie James as a former heroin addict trying to stay clean and rebuild his life.

The Channel 4 series, which is being filmed in London, tells the stories of four seemingly unconnected characters including Colman’s single mother struggling to keep her teenage sons on the straight and narrow.

Winstone’s character finds her life turned upside down when her boyfriend is murdered - and she has to hear the news from his partner that she never knew existed.

The star recently appeared on screen with her father Ray in Elfie Hopkins - a horror movie about a wannabe detective investigating a mysterious new family who move into her village.
