Band members Te Eugene, 18, from Ilford, Sonny Jay, 18, a former West Hatch High School pupil from Chigwell and Eddie Brett, 20, from Chingford wowed the judges with their own song, Lovesick.

They are the first Britain’s Got Talent band to be signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco in a deal that is reportedly worth £500,000, and their first single is set to be released later this year.

Te Eugene took to Twitter to comment last week: “Excited that everyone now knows that the LoveableRogues are signed to Syco, can’t wait [to get] on the road!”

Eddie Brett, who also commented on the social networking site, said: “So the cat is out of the bag and I am pleased to announce we are now part of the Syco family.”

After their appearance on the ITV show they built up a strong fan base and their performance got six million views on YouTube.

They group have been together for two years and have performed at various concerts including a memorial for former West Hatch High teacher, Anne Horne, after she died of cancer.

They have also played at The Cauliflower pub in High Road, Ilford.
