The tracks will get an airing on a live web stream via the micro-blogging site, on July 2.

They are named Under the Westway and The Puritan from a secret location.

Weeks later, the Britpop legends will play again at a concert to mark the close of the Olympics, in Hyde Park.

Frontman Damon Albarn said: “I wrote these songs for Hyde Park and I’m really excited about getting out there and playing them for people.”

The live stream takes place on Twitter at 6.15pm on July 2 at @blurofficial. There will also be an interview with the band.
