Following the runaway success of last year’s party, the High Definition Festival is back for a second year with the promise of unrivalled music and entertainment.
Headlining on June 30, at Forest Farm, Forest Road, Hainault are sets by Pendulum and Ms Dynamite with some of the biggest dance acts bringing the very best in electronic music.
Danny May, the man behind the festival, has revealed to the Recorder what his highlight of last year’s festival was and why he thinks it has been so popular.
“I think one of the main attractions for people is the scale and quality of the production and the attention to detail,” he said.
“It’s going to be a jaw-dropping party.”
The name synonymous with his 2006 smash hit, Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit, Fedde le Grand will take to the main stage followed by Grammy award winning Mark Knight.
May said: “My personal highlight last year was stepping into a packed arena as the sun came down, with the lasers and visuals in the background and just seeing so many people having a good time. Plus all the amazing feedback which made it really special for me.”
The former DJ, who has organised some of the biggest club nights in the area, added: “We’re really proud of this year’s acts. I hope in years to come we’ll start to see the likes of Deadmau5, Swedish House Mafia, Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler playing.
May added: “Dance music has kicked off massively in the past few years. It seems to be sweeping the entire world at the moment; I think it’s only going to get bigger.”
