Hallsville School of Ballet, based in Canning Town, invites the local community to the Grassroots Centre, in Memorial Park, West Ham for a day of performances, dance focused activities, food and celebration.

Taking place both inside and outside the venue, funds raised on the day will cover the costs of the event while any profit will go towards the school’s new initiative ‘My Ballet Dance Group’.

Lydie Schrepfer, principal and ballet teacher at Hallsville, said: “We’re honoured to celebrate the Queen’s special year by providing a day packed with fun activities, special dance performances, and the chance to try new dance styles, including folk.

“All this will be alongside food, drink, face painting, and a dynamic catwalk competition.”

The scheme is supported by Newham New Deal Partnership (NDP) to build strong dance founations in Canning Town to give pupils a platform to prepare to enter the professional dance industry.
