The latest news from the Thomas McCurtains GAA club

Thomas McCurtains men’s and women’s football teams enjoyed themselves at a sevens tournament held in honour of Siobhan McCann.

Teams from across the south east entered the event, which was held in Greenford last weekend.

The women’s team progressed furthest of the two McCurtains, before being eliminated in the semi-finals.

McCurtains’ men’s side, meanwhile, were knocked out of their event in the quarter-finals.

While there are no games scheduled this weekend, the men’s hurling team do have a final to look forward too.

McCurtains will face either John Mitchels or Fullen Gaels in the final of the All-Britain Junior Championship on November 11.

The final will take place in either Watford or Birmingham, depending on who progresses from the other semi-final.

The club are always on the lookout for new players, with Gaelic football and hurling teams for both men and women from under-eights up to adults.
