Midfielder Roger Espinoza is set to make his Wigan debut in tomorrow’s Barclays Premier League clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The Honduras international, signed from Sporting Kansas City, stayed on the bench in last weekend’s FA Cup tie against Bournemouth having only arrived in the UK two days before, but now has a week’s training under his belt.
Fellow new boy Angelo Henriquez is pushing for a start after impressing as a substitute last weekend, but defenders Antolin Alcaraz (groin) and Adrian Lopez (hamstring) and midfielders Ben Watson (broken leg), Albert Crusat (knee) and Ryo Miyaichi (ankle) are all out.
Provisional squad: Al Habsi, Pollitt, Boyce, Caldwell, Ramis, Figueroa, Beausejour, Jones, Maloney, Espinoza, McCarthy, McArthur, Stam, McManaman, Di Santo, Henriquez, Boselli, Fyvie, Redmond, Mustoe, Orsula, Morris.
