The R’s midfielder was dismissed for two bookable offences – his second red card in a QPR shirt in 2012.

“I was disappointed because he made two fouls,” he told Sky Sports.

“He made a genuine attempt to cut the ball out.

“The second one he’s got his eye on the ball and the lads come from the side.

“It’s harsh on Samba Diakite. He seems to get penalised readily. He’s going to have to work on it.”
