Chorley is set to return at Bournemouth

Defender Ben Chorley is set to return to the Orient side at Bournemouth on Saturday following a one-game ban.

Although the Cherries are struggling, Chorley is expecting a hard time, especially as Orient duo Mathieu Baudry and Michael Symes joined from Bournemouth in the summer.

“It will be a tough game,” said Chorley. “But a few boys here were at Bournemouth and it’s been a happy hunting ground for us in recent times.”

Symes and Baudry both made the starting 11 against Barnet in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy game on Tuesday and will be pushing hard to make the starting line-up.

“You always want to do well against your old club and you somehow seem to step up a bit,” said Chorley, who hopes Orient can cash in on the weight of expectation currently on the south coast club.

“They are under pressure,” said Chorley. “We will try and keep them quiet for the first 25 minutes and if we do that it will be interesting to see what happens.

“Whoever plays for us at Bournemouth will give their best and hopefully we can come back with something.”

But Chorley acknowledges the loss of striker Kevin Lisbie will be a blow as he faces a month on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury last weekend.

“He has been playing really well,” said the defender. “Lis has been brilliant for someone his age.

“He is constantly running in behind. People take him out and he is always on the verge of winning a penalty.

“He has been doing really well and we will miss him, the way he plays scares centre-halves.

“I have been playing against him for 10 years and I know that once he gets a yard on you he is hard to catch. He will be a loss.”
