Redbridge suffered at the hands of Romford at the weekend as they fell to a 5-0 away defeat in the Ryman One North but joint-manager Dave Ross was confident his side would bounce back at home to Waltham Abbey this evening.

Motormen host Abbey at Oakside hoping to make up for Saturday’s disappointing defeat and Ross admitted they’ll make quite a few changes from the team that started at the weekend.

“We have four or five back so we will try to freshen it up a bit,” Ross revealed.

“You will see a different side. We are out again and as I say we have got four or five players that are due back and then a bench there and we’ll probably change 60 or 70 per cent of the team to try and freshen it up.”

Abbey are 16th in the table and all but assured a place in the Ryman One North for next season and like Redbridge do not have much to play for, however Ross isn’t expecting an easy ride.

He added: “All the games are tough. Of course we want a response. You lose a game and it is all about what response you get from the players and we will get a response from the players I have no doubt about that.

“We’ve got Dan Charge back, that is a massive plus. Ryan Carolan is back in the equation, Tyrone Thomas will be back in and Bostry Bansende we rested Saturday so hopefully he will be back.

“I was really disappointed on Saturday but it is three points lost it isn’t 10 is it and now we have got to turn it around against Waltham Abbey.”

A win for Redbridge could move them up to 13th in the table as they look to secure a top-10 finish.
