Ilford were on the wrong end of a 2-0 scoreline as they lost out to Haringey Borough on Saturday.
The result leaves the Foxes firmly entrenched in mid-table in the Essex Senior League as they struggle to find consistency.
Tyrone Cazaubon and Dean Fenton scored Borough’s goals in a game of few memorable incidents during the first half, and despite their best efforts in the second period, Ilford couldn’t get back into the encounter at Cricklefield Stadium.
Ilford won only one of their league games in November –against bottom of the table London Bari – after back-to-back wins at the end of October against London APSA and local rivals Barking.
The Foxes drop out of the top half of the table, but on Saturday they welcome lowly London Greenhouse to Cricklefield Stadium.
When the two teams met back in September the match finished in a 1-1 draw with Ilford coming back from a goal down to claim a point.
Their opponents are second from bottom, having won just two league games all season, and it’s the perfect opportunity to get some form going as the games come thick and fast in December.
Ilford had been due to visit Southend Manor in a league clash last night (Wednesday).
It was Manor’s new manager John Higley’s first game in charge.
