The Foxes lost the earlier Essex Senior League meeting 2-0, but Haywood backs his men to win if they perform as they can.

“They’re a decent side but we’ve got players who can hurt them,” he said. “It was a well-contested game at our place. I’m expecting another one on Saturday.”

The Foxes played their first game in over a month against Tower Hamlets last Wednesday and gave a good account, before conceding three goals in the last 12 minutes.

Haywood added: “We need someone to put the ball in the back of the net. If we had taken our chances we’d have been one or two up at half time.

“It was a good game, 3-0 flattered them. Goalscorers are difficult to get hold of unfortunately.”
