Tamika Mkandawire has been out of action for nine months
Millwall star Tamika Mkandawire is desperate to end his injury nightmare after being out of action with a knee injury since last November.
The Lions midfielder is closing in on a return but there is still a long way to go
“It’s been very frustrating but any injury is frustrating,” Mkandawire told London24.
“I’m trying to look forward and I can’t wait to get back out there. I’ll look forward to playing again.”
Mkandawire has backed his team-mates to recover from their opening day defeat to Blackpool.
“They can bounce back against Peterborough,” he added.
“We’ll forget about the Blackpool game.”
The midfielder is not expected to be back for the next two games along with Paul Robinson.
“They won’t be around for the next two games,” Jackett confirmed.
“Robbo will be back before Tam. For the next two I don’t think they’re close.”
