Mark Robson’s first league game in charge of Barnet ended in a thumping defeat to Port Vale.

Louis Dodds had given the Valiants the lead in the eighth minute.

It went from bad to worse when Jon Nurse fouled Tom Pope in the penalty area with Jennison Myrie-Williams scoring from the spot.

Pope was on the scoresheet, himself, with 15 minutes remaining to give the home side a comfortable victory.
