The London24 sports team choose this week’s star XI from the 14 Premier League and Football League clubs around the capital.
GOALKEEPER – Brad Friedel (Tottenham): Made an excellent save against Lyon and was crucial in helping Spurs to a 2-1 victory after a spell on the subtitutes bench.
DEFENDER – Feme Ilesanmi (Dagenham & Redbridge): The full back was ever dependable in defence again and capped another solid display with his first senior goal for the Daggers with a fine strike to level in the second half, though it proved in vain as Dagenham went on to lose 2-1 against the League Two table toppers.
DEFENDER – John Terry (Chelsea): Despite unfounded rumours about his relationship with interim manager Rafael Benitez, the centre back produced a goal-scoring performance against Brentford.
DEFENDER – Tony Craig (Brentford): Craig produced an assured performance against Stevenage and had a decent game against Chelsea, despite being part of a side that conceded four goals.
DEFENDER – Karleigh Osborne (Millwall): The defender came into the side and helped the Lions into the FA Cup quarter finals by being part of a defence that kept a clean sheet at Luton.
MIDFIELDER – Juan Mata (Chelsea): The Blues star was once again Chelsea’s shining light as he scored a crucial goal against Brentford.
MIDFIELDER – Oscar (Chelsea): Two goals in two games for the Brazilian and an impressive showing against Brentford.

MIDFIELDER – Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace): The impressive youngster was at his best to help Palace put Middlesbrough to the sword.
STRIKER – Glenn Murray (Crystal Palace): The striker notched his 26th and 27th goals of the season as the Eagles thrashed Middlesbrough.
