Young footballers complete a fine season
Aldersbrook Athletic under-nine Reds completed a fine league and cup double last season.
The Wanstead-based club run teams from under-sevens to under-16s and it was the under-nines who enjoyed a good campaign.
Playing in the East London & Essex Junior Football League, they ended the season on top of the pile with 42 points from their 18 games, winning 13 and drawing three.
They lost just twice in the campaign and that was to Interwood and runners-up White Star, both 1-0.
During their impressive campaign they also hammered a total of 68 goals and to round it all off, they also won the under-nines cup.
