O’s boss Slade moves to beat the deadline
Orient manager Russell Slade has swooped to sign Fulham midfielder Alex Smith on loan until January 2 before the window shuts tonight.
The 21-year-old, who can also play in defence, has made one substitute appearance for the Premier League side when he came on during the 3-0 home win against West Brom back in September.
Smith is likely to go straight into the squad for the home clash with Preston on Saturday.
