Wilkinson netted his fifth goal of the season but could’t help the Daggers to victory on Saturday.
Defender Luke Wilkinson cut a disappointed figure after Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Morecambe and believed the Daggers should have been able to see the game out.
Wilkinson’s fifth goal of the campaign put the Victoria Road hosts ahead in the 61st minute after heading in Matt Saunders’ free-kick.
But two goals in the space of three minutes late on from Stewart Drummond and substitute Ryan Williams sealed an unlikely victory for the Shrimps.
“We are all frustrated, we should have seen the game out, I think they had two shots and scored two goals,” said Wilkinson.
“The first was deflected and the second one was a good finish to be fair to the kid. But we are frustrated. We should’ve held out and maybe had one at the end with Luke Howell’s shot past the post.”
“There wasn’t much created and it wasn’t really a great game to be honest. It’s a bit frustrating that we haven’t played well of late so we need to pick ourselves up and get back on the winning trail again.”
